Forward Deployment

Using Rear Hand Rails and Rear Kick Plate

  • Position yourself by standing behind the Portable Dock, grab the vertical Rear Hand Rails of ladder (at chest height) and position your foot on Rear Kick Plate.

  • Then, simultaneously push the Portable Dock away from you using the Rear Kick Plate while tilting the Rear Hand Rails down towards you.

The Portable Dock can then be rolled forward to desired inspection area.

Side Deployment

Using Side Hand Rails and Side Kick Bar

  • Position yourself by standing on the side of the Portable Dock and getting a firm grip on the Side Hand Rails (at chest height), position your foot on the Side Kick Bar.

  • Then, simultaneously push the Portable Dock away from you using the Side Kick Bar while tilting the Side Hand Rails down towards you.

The Portable Dock can then be rolled sideways to desired inspection area.

Inside Tractor Trailer

Using the two methods mentioned for maneuvering the ladder, place Portable Dock at rear of open tractor trailer.

  • Climb inside the trailer. Once inside, grab the Top of the Hand Rail and tilt and pull the ladder towards you, while the second officer at ground level grabs the bottom of ladder (where metal curves below bottom step) and helps to boost the ladder inside the trailer.

  • The ladder can then be easily pulled inside trailer. The back of the ladder is reinforced to serve as a skid to help slide the Portable Dock in the trailer.
